first_imgThe United Nations Foundation’s Girl Up campaign has announced the speakers for its 5th annual Girl Up Leadership Summit, the only summit that is by girls, for girls.The Leadership Summit will bring together 275 passionate girl advocates from around the world from July 11-13, 2016 in Washington, DC.Speakers at this year’s Leadership Summit will include: • Kate Gilmore, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights • Rosie Rios, Treasurer of the United States • Ashley Graham, Model, Designer and Activist • Dr. Jen Welter, First Female Coach in the NFL, Arizona Cardinals • Yara Shahidi, Philanthropist, Scholar, Actress known for her role on black-ish • Kat McNamara, Girl Up Champion, Actress known for her role on Shadowhunters • Marley Dias, Founder, #1000BlackGirlBooks • Monique Coleman, Girl Up Champion, Actress known for her role in High School MusicalThis year, Girl Up Leadership Summit attendees come from 33 U.S. states and territories, and 9 countries including Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, and Singapore. For the first two days, attendees will participate in leadership training, learn from influential speakers, and engage in skills-based workshops.
