(Photo by Hulton Archive/Getty Images)The race for the 2018 College Football Playoff is heating up and, according to ESPN’s projections, only eight teams have a legitimate chance of making it.Texas, which had looked liked a potential contender, has now been eliminated, as the Longhorns fell to Oklahoma State on Saturday night.This leaves us with eight teams with a 10 percent chance or better of making the College Football Playoff.Those eight teams:AlabamaClemsonNotre DameLSUGeorgiaMichiganOhio StateOklahomaOf those eight teams, only three – Alabama, Clemson and Georgia – are seen as real national title threats, too.The picture will look much clearer next week, as Alabama is set to play at LSU.
