Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made his intentions clear of continuing his recruitment policy of signing young homegrown players. Contingency plans have already been drawn up for next summer and according to ESPN, Borussia Dortmund star Sancho is top of their list alongside Leicester midfielder Maddison. United splashed out nearly £150 million to bring Harry Maguire, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James to Old Trafford, but Solskjaer has highlighted a need to bolster his attacking ranks following the departures of Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez to Inter Milan. United had expressed initial interest in Sancho last winter and have not been put off pursuing the 19-year-old despite him signing a contract extension at Dortmund just last month. Solskjaer got to take a closer look at Maddison after his United side claimed a narrow 1-0 victory over Leicester at the weekend. United are reportedly willing to pay Leicester’s £70m valuation Maddison next summer. Other British names on United’s wishlist include Newcastle midfielder Sean Longstaff, Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson and Stoke defender Nathan Collins. Solskjaer’s men have made a decent start to the Premier League season and sit in fourth place on eight points after five games.Tags: Aaron Wan-BissakaDaniel JamesHarry MaguireJadon SanchoJames MaddisonManchester UnitedOle Gunnar SolskjaerRomelu Lukaku
