This is Phat Kiidz’ Donegal…My Donegal….What is your favourite place in Donegal and why?Sam: Bundoran. We used to go a lot in the summers when we were young for swimming and surfing in the sea. It’s a childhood memory. If you could change one thing about Donegal what would it be? Hapz: I’d say bring back the train links to major cities, Dublin, Galway etc.Who is the one person in Donegal that you look up to and why?Doda: We look up to other young unsigned artists in our community, doing the same as we doing. They keep us motivated, and love what we are doing.Daniel O’Donnell or Packie Bonner? Hapz: Packie BonnerWhat has been Donegal’s proudest moment in recent years?Sam: Winning the 2012 All-Ireland. There was a big party in Donegal for about a month. What has been the biggest compliment you’ve ever received?Doda: That Phat Kiidz are going to change the world. What is your favourite Donegal-made product?Sam: Kinnegar Craft BeerWho is Donegal’s greatest ambassador around the world and why?Hapz: Dan O’Donnell – great artist, great guy, songs like “Donegal Shore” and “Home to Donegal” represent the county well.Who is Donegal’s most successful businessperson in your opinion?Doda: Jason Black. He runs a very successful business and does a lot for charity. In fact he came and spoke at one of our events “Be Well Week” through the Donegal youth service. And he’s the first Donegal man to climb Everest. Who is your favourite Donegal sportsperson of all time?Sam: Packie Bonner – legend, known all around. What is your favourite Donegal restaurant?Hapz: Stateside – good burgers, good ribs. Overall good food.Donegal’s golden eagles or basking sharks?Doda: Golden eagles What is your favourite Donegal saying or expression?Doda: “The craic’s ninety”What is the biggest challenge facing the people of Donegal today?Sam: In my opinion increasing population. It means there needs to be enough services for everyone. But these issues are being dealt with I’m sure. What is your favourite Donegal food?Hapz: Football Special cheesecake. Is there anything that really annoys you about Donegal or its people?Sam: Nothing at all. Do you have a favourite local band?Doda: Of recent Goats Don’t Shave. They were a massive collaboration in the summer. Their new album “Turf Man Blues” is good also. If you had a million euro to improve something in Donegal what would it be?Hapz: With a million euros I would invest in youth clubs around Donegal. Get more young people involved and changing our society. For they are the future generation. What has been the most exciting moment of your career so far?Doda: Late Late Show for sure. Being on national TV, watched by hundreds of thousands of people was a moment we will never forget. And also putting on a show our mothers were proud of was the highlight of our young career. Is there anything about Donegal that you are very proud of?Sam: Proud of the GAA team. It’s one big family, everyone in the county is supportive, and they are great sportsmen. My Donegal… with Donegal’s number one rap trio Phat Kiidz was last modified: November 8th, 2016 by Rachel McLaughlinShare this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window)Tags:MUSICMY DONEGALphat kiidzlast_img read more
