While the consumers in India wait for Nokia’s first proper Android phones to arrive here, in China it seems people can’t get enough of the Nokia 6, a mid-range phone that the company launched a few weeks ago. In its first sale, which used the flash sale model, the phone went out of stock within a minute. The hardware doesn’t really stand out, but the design is good and the phone, considering that it carries the logo of Nokia, has a sort of special appeal. The phone sports a 5.5-inch screen, has Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 inside it, uses 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage and has a 3000 mAh battery. The phone also has a curved 2.5D glass layer on the screen, giving it a more premium look and feel. It also has a 16-megapixel rear camera and and 8-megapixel front camera. The phone uses Nokia’s custom software, which is based on Android Nougat. Nokia 6 has been priced in China at CNY 1,699 (around Rs 17,000).Although this is the first comeback phone from Nokia, which actually is Finnish company HMD using Nokia brand, there are more phones planned. It is expected that Nokia will launch at least three phones this quarter. One of them is likely to be entry-level phone, which will sit below the Nokia 6 in the line-up, and the other one is expected to be Nokia P1 or Nokia 8, a high-end phone with camera that will use Zeiss optics.
